About Us

Jake Wallin is a storyteller, game designer, and community organizer with a passion for creativity and world-building. At 32, he has spent much of his life writing, designing games, and bringing people together through shared storytelling experiences.
His creative journey started early, sketching the first map of Medius (Bios)—his original fantasy world—when he was just 12 years old. Over the years, Medius has grown into the foundation for much of his work, shaping the lore behind his role-playing games, LARP settings, and card games. Friends and colleagues continue to enjoy and expand upon this ever-evolving world, keeping it alive through play and storytelling.
In 2011, Jake founded CER LARP, a live-action role-playing organization that remains active today. His love of game design led him to create M.A.C.S (Mechanized Augmented Combat Systems), a card game, in 2014, followed by Warsong TCG in 2024. He has contributed to various role-playing systems, card games, and board games, always looking for new ways to make games engaging and immersive.
Beyond game design, Jake is the founder and current president of the Dixon, IL Fall and Fantasy Festival, an event that brings together people who share an appreciation for creativity and storytelling. He also serves as the director of the Northwest Territory Historic Center, where he helps preserve local history while fostering a space for education and engagement.
At his core, Jake values imagination and storytelling. Whether through poetry, fantasy, or horror fiction, his work reflects a lifelong love of narrative and the connections it can create. While not commercially successful in storytelling—yet—his contributions to his community and creative circles continue to grow, making a meaningful impact on those around him.

Dylan Kenney is a strategist, editor, and game designer with a strong background in coaching and competitive analysis. With years of experience coaching chess and esports, he has developed a sharp eye for strategy, pattern recognition, and player development—skills that naturally translated into his passion for card games and game design.
Dylan joined the Warsong TCG team in the winter of 2024 as its sole editor, playing a key role in refining the game’s mechanics and competitive balance. His deep analytical skills and adaptability have helped push Warsong toward a professional level. Recently, he has also expanded into video production and digital design, continuing to broaden his skill set.
His competitive mindset extends beyond editing—Dylan is a fierce deck builder with an uncanny ability to find hidden patterns in gameplay. Whether in chess, esports, or trading card games, he thrives in strategic environments. His background includes years of individual and team coaching in esports, where he focused on team-building, player evaluation, and competitive development at various levels.
Looking ahead, Dylan plans to join CER LARP this summer, further expanding his hands-on experience in world-building and game design. His dedication to strategy, storytelling, and competitive play continues to shape his approach as both a creator and competitor.
