Warsong TCG Competitive Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players, staff, and spectators at Warsong TCG tournaments, we have established the following Competitive Code of Conduct. By participating in any competitive Warsong event, all attendees agree to uphold these standards of behavior.

General Conduct

  1. Respect Others: Treat all players, judges, staff, and spectators with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

  2. Play Fairly: Abide by all official Warsong TCG rules, event-specific guidelines, and decisions made by tournament officials. Cheating, collusion, or any other form of dishonest conduct is strictly prohibited.

  3. Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship whether you win or lose. Celebrate victories graciously and accept defeats with dignity.

  4. Keep the Environment Positive: Avoid disruptive behavior, excessive noise, or arguments that detract from the enjoyment of the event. Maintain a friendly atmosphere for everyone.

  5. Remember the Spirit of the Game: Warsong is designed for fun and camaraderie. If a match raises above competitive fun into irritation or conflict, the spirit of the game is not being met. While it can be frustrating to lose, players who are winning should avoid unnecessarily drawing out games if victory is clear. Games prolonged for personal benefit (such as accruing extra points) rather than swift and decisive wins may result in penalties during scoring. Warsong’s intention is to bring people together, not divide them.

During Matches

  1. Follow Time Limits: Adhere to any time constraints for matches, ensuring gameplay proceeds smoothly and fairly for all participants.

  2. Handle Cards Properly: Treat all cards—your own and others’—with care and respect. Intentional damage to cards or property is unacceptable.

  3. Communicate Clearly: Announce your moves and abilities clearly to avoid misunderstandings. If unsure about rules, call for a judge rather than argue with your opponent.

  4. Respect Decisions: Comply with the rulings of tournament officials. If you believe a ruling was incorrect, raise your concerns calmly and respectfully through the proper channels.

Outside Matches

  1. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your play area and surrounding space tidy. Dispose of trash in designated receptacles and leave the venue as you found it.

  2. Be a Good Representative: Remember that your behavior reflects on the Warsong community. Strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  3. Follow Venue Policies: Abide by all rules set by the tournament venue, including policies on food, drink, and prohibited items.

Consequences for Violations

Failure to adhere to the Competitive Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Verbal warnings

  • Match penalties or game losses

  • Removal from the event

  • Suspension from future tournaments

Tournament organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Commitment to Excellence

Warsong TCG tournaments are a celebration of skill, strategy, and community. By following this Competitive Code of Conduct, you help create an environment where everyone can enjoy the game and forge lasting friendships.

Thank you for your commitment to fair play and respect!
